Terms of Service
These Terms govern the use of Kotoba (the "Service") provided by Towaidee (the "Company"). By using the Service, users ("Users") are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
1. About the Service
The Service is a flashcard-based language learning application for Japanese learners. It provides efficient review scheduling via an SRS (Spaced Repetition System) algorithm, offline study, and paid deck purchases.
2. Accounts
- Use of the Service requires registering an account with a valid email address.
- Users are responsible for keeping their registration information accurate and up to date.
- If you become aware of unauthorized account use, please contact us promptly.
3. Paid Content
- Paid decks are permanently linked to a User's account after purchase (one-time purchase). It is not a subscription.
- Downloaded content remains available offline for up to one year after the Service is terminated.
- Except where required by law, refunds after purchase are generally not provided. Please contact us individually if you cannot use the Service due to technical issues.
4. Prohibited Conduct
- Unauthorized copying, redistribution, or sale of Service content (decks/cards)
- Reverse engineering and circumvention of the Service's security features
- Harassment, discriminatory speech, or other acts against public order toward other Users
- Improper bulk access using automated tools
- Acts infringing the intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties
5. Intellectual Property
Copyright and other intellectual property rights related to the Service and its content (decks, cards, logo, software, etc.) belong to the Company or to third parties that have licensed them to the Company.
6. Disclaimer
- The Service is provided "as is" with no warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
- Learning outcomes vary by individual; the Service does not guarantee passing the JLPT or any other examination.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service.
7. Changes and Termination
The Company may change or terminate the Service upon prior notice to Users. Upon termination, download access to purchased content will be provided for a reasonable period.
8. Account Deletion
Users may delete their account at any time from "Settings" → "Delete Account" inside the app. For handling of personal data after deletion, please see our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to These Terms
The Company may revise these Terms. Material changes will be notified inside the app or by email. Continued use after the revision is deemed acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Disputes regarding the Service shall be submitted to the court having jurisdiction over Bangkok as the exclusive court of first instance.
